Sick Lache Girl Gets £600 from Mecca Bingo Ellesmere Port Workers

In the bid to crowd fund the treatment of a girl who is fighting leukemia, members of a team at the Mecca Ellesmere Port had to drop their dabbers and take up clippers. It started with the doctor telling the parents of the Lache resident named Erinn Taylor that the two-year-old kid had a bone marrow and blood type that is not rare. However, things got to a pitiful stage when in December 2016, she was diagnosed with full leukemia. The little angel took the fight against the disease head on and subsequently, went into remission because of that. This led her to undertake a bone marrow transplant in April 2017, which she is presently recovering from at the Manchester Royal Children’s Hospital.

However, the bad news returned again when the parents of the kid were informed on the 7th of July 2017 that leukemia returned.

This got many people empathizing with them, and it led three people from the Mecca Bingo Online Ellesmere Port to swing into action. Nathan Hart, Chris Corbett, and Gerry Knegt succeeded in raising about £600 when they created the awareness by shaving off their hair.

According to Gerry Knegt, one of the Mecca Bingo Ellesmere Port workers, the story of Erinn’s condition and family touched the hearts of many people at the port. To show their support, they had to think of something significant and do it. It had to be something that would raise the much-needed funds for the family while creating awareness and expressing their empathy.

He stated that it is a huge thing of inspiration that in the face of such a gruesome experience, the young kid is still upbeat and positive. He said that courage is exemplified in the way the girl is taking the entire situation and not in their shaving off their hair as people think. They talked about how fulfilled they are to get involved in such acts.

Talking about the gesture, one of the members of the kid’s family said that their hearts are full of gratitude for those who took part in the action. He talked about how they see the actions of the team at Mecca Bingo Ellesmere Port as amazing.

For the mother of the kid, her excitement knows no bounds because the amount raised is more than what could be expected in such situation. She acknowledged the awareness created by the action, especially when invaluable funds were also raised.
