The revenue of the British market of online gambling has grown to an impressive amount of £4.7 billion for the period between April 2016 and March 2017, which is the same as the volume of $6.33 billion.
This was reported by UKGC – United Kingdom’s Gambling Commission. According to the information received, the remote market showed an increase of 10.1% compared to the previous fiscal year.
The entire British gambling industry generated revenue of £ 13.7 billion for April 2016-March 2017, which is 1.8% more than in the same period last year, but less than the record £ 13.8 billion received during the period from October 2015 to September 2016.
Online gambling comprises now 34% of the total gambling of the United Kingdom, which is 1.5% higher than last year. Tim Miller, who is the head of the UKGC, said that the figures presented indicate the continuing growth of the gambling market, especially in the online casino sector and casino with ramses-book. However, this imposes an additional responsibility on companies operating in the industry for the damage that gambling causes to casino customers and the public. The regulator appealed to all operators of the gambling industry with a warning to realize that simultaneously with the growth of the market, the attention of UKGC to the issue of observing the rights of consumers will be strengthened.
