Walt Disney Corporation Accelerator Program and Esports are together

Two main esport companies will become a part of the Walt Disney Corporation Accelerator program 2017. The Overwatch League is coming and will announce seven franchise teams and their holders.

A lot of mainstream brands are interested in the esport nowadays. This interest was awaken by the Disney Corporation that has chosen Epic games and aXiomatic to be members of Accelerator Program 2017.

The program appeared in 2014 and is ready to accept new tech companies that want to make dreams true in the sphere of entertainment and media.

Epic games are known for the Unreal engine technology that is used by the great number of game developers and brains behind a well-known console game Gear of War.

Epic Games and aXiomatic with other nine lucky companies will work together in the LA Office with the best minds of Disney, will get financial support from the huge media company and backing from the Disney team.

Intellectual property will belong to the companies-participants, not to Disney, though it will be created during accelerator.

Bruce Stein, CEO of aXiomatic informed that aXiomatic was going to develop the esports market but he didn’t know where the revenue streams would progress. One revenue stream has to be gambling.

It was calculated that profit from esports would be even more than $1,5 billion dollars by 2020.

Blizzard informs about the seven members of the Overwatch league

Blizzards Overwatch league will include the following owners of franchise:

Kevin Chou ( Kabam) -Seoul

Andy Miller ( NRG Esports)- San Francisco

NetEase- Shanghai

Noah Whinston ( Immortals) – Los Angeles

Ben Spoont( Misfits gaming) – Miami-Orlando

Robert Kraft ( Kraft Group and the New England Patriots)- Boston

Los Angeles will host the first season of the Overwatch League. The date of its beginning is unknown at the moment. More information will appear in the nearest future.

Overwatch Rules the base of players that consists of 30 million members and some Blizard members believe that it will be larger than English Premier League.
