Nothing compares to huddling with some buttered popcorn and relaxing while watching a movie for a few hours. We at 777spinslots.com love to mix our greatest passions: movies and gambling. Just open Netflix or get the DVD and relax in front of these marvelous babies – they are guaranteed to bring you in the gambling mood. Spending time away from casinos and sitting down to enjoy a fantastic movie is one thing many players love.
We have handpicked a collection of the top 7 casino and gambling related films, a very wide spectrum of movies that should definitely appeal to you.
Do you know what’s interesting? Some stories are actually based on true events and real people. Enough talk, let’s have a look at those titles.#1 Casino (1995)
An all-time classic casino-related film. Martin Scorsese created a masterpiece, managing to unfold the story of two Las Vegas based mobsters, one obsessed with greed and the other one striving to build a career. Sharon Stone, Roberto De Niro, Joe Pesci are quite big names at Hollywood. Telling a story of the relationship between mobsters and Las Vegas casinos in the 1970s, every aspect of this movie is perfectly realised. There’s nothing more to say, just watch it, unless you are just a “low-life, motherf**king degenerate prick”.
#2 Casino Royale (2006)
007 has returned in 2006 to form one of the best entries in the entire collection of James Bond movies, and one of the greatest action films ever. The main action square of the utterly incredible Casino Royale movie is the big-stakes poker tournament, in which James Bond fights hard to bankrupt le Chiffre, the terrorist banker.
Who would have thought it was actually possible to be edge-of-your-seat thrilled for 40 minutes continuously? We would have got involved in a 100/1 odds bet for this one.
See this movie. It’s one of the best in the industry.
#3 Rounders (1998)
What else can be better than watching a movie set in the New York’s high-stakes underground poker world? Matt Damon played a great role in Rounders, a film of large beauty, yet John Malkovich played as a mental Russian gangster who terrorises Matt.
Faced with the high-stakes dilemma of his life, Matt (Mike McDermott in the movie) has to take some hard decisions that offer excitement and thrills for us.

Six M.I.T. students who have perfected the art of card counting. Vegas. Action and thrilling scenes. Well, it all starts with a shy, but brilliant M.I.T. student who needs to pay his school tuition and finds the answer in the cards. Recruited by an unorthodox math professor to take part in a group of gifted students who go to Las Vegas with fake IDs to make money with their know-how, Ben starts pushing the limits when he sees the new lifestyle and the new challenges.
How can a group of students be one step ahead of the casinos’ security? Although it’s not illegal, the stakes are quite high.
#5 Ocean’s Eleven (2001)
The film starts with the hero Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney) who teams up with his old friend Rusty Ryan (played by Brad Pitt) to rob $150 million from a vault that serves 3 large casinos from Las Vegas. Nine other men are recruited in the process.
Rest assured that you will have a very nice time watching this one. That’s because Ocean does not tell the group that there is actually another reason he is coordinating this heist: the 3 casinos they are robbing are all controlled by the mogul Terry Benedict, who happens to be the husband of Ocean’s former lover Tess. And Tess’ is played by Julia Roberts. Pretty cool, huh?!
#6 The Cincinnati Kid (1965)
It took 41 years for the film industry to portray poker so engagingly in a casino movie – with the release of Casino Royale. The Cincinnati Kid captures the awesome and tense emotion of seeing the money stack after a flop and offering a perfect play.
Steve McQueen was a great actor, and he killed it in this movie. The iconic “last hand scene” will make your brain crave for more action.
#7 Hard Eight (1996)
Set against the gleaming hotels of Reno, Nevada, the move is about John, a luckless and destitute gambler who sits hungrily trying to keep warm near a truck-stop when a seemingly kind-hearted and successful professional gambler guy named Sydney finds him. Sydney buys John some coffee and by the evening’s end promises to tell him all of his gambling secrets.
John does not completely trust Sydney but still listens to him. Well, in two years, John learns how to be a high-stakes gambler and Sydney leaves. But John goes overboard and that’s when the action starts.
