Microgaming will launch a slot The Phantom of the Opera

The artwork by Andrew Lloyd Webber “The Phantom of the Opera” will come to life in a new themed online slot from Microgaming. The company started working on the game after signing a license agreement with The Really Useful Group.

The origin of the slot is a popular musical thriller based on the novel by Gaston Leroux “The Phantom of the Opera.” The famous film director Joel Schumacher turned this legendary work into a film in 2004. Gerard Butler starred as The Phantom, Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson played the roles of Christine and Raoul, respectively. At that time the box office of the film was 154 million dollars. 31 years have passed since the time when the musical was presented at Her Majesty’s Theatre for the first time. Since then, “The Phantom of the Opera” was shown in 166 cities in 35 countries around the world.

This online slot developed by Microgaming in collaboration with the Really Useful Group should appear later this year. The new development will feature the main characters, music and original scenes from the film. It will have a famous soundtrack, with such songs as “The Phantom of the Opera”, “The Music of the Night” and “All I Ask of You”.

The product presentation took place as part of ICE Totally Gaming 2017 at the company’s bar (N5 – 120). The developer’s stand was stylised with attributes of the film – the extravagant chandeliers, spectacular draping and original details.

After the release, the new slot will be one of the many branded slot machines of the company Microgaming, such as Bridesmaids, Battlestar Galactica, Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park, and Terminator 2.
