World Series of Poker, which is the longest, richest, and most prestigious poker event, will open its doors at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, for the world’s most renowned poker players as well as for enthusiasts. The full schedule, including bracelet events and satellites to these tournaments with deep stacks, cash games, are planned for almost 50 consecutive days until July 18, 2016. This is the day when nine players of the WSOP Main Event will be determined.
The WSOP 2016 will feature as many as 69 events.
At the 46th Annual WSOP most of the gold bracelet events will pay out 15%. The minimum payouts will be one-and-a-half times a given event’s buy-in fee.
Alongside with $10,000 Main Event, the second edition of the $565 Colossus No-Limit Hold’em will start the tournament on the first days – on 2, 3 and 4 June. After 2015, 22.374 reentries were made with the prize $ 638,880 for the first place, the organisers hope to set a new record as the largest live poker tournament in the coming year. It was Lance ‘Cord’ Garcia who emerged victorious in the tournament. The prize pool of Colossus 2015 was $11,187,000. This year the winner will receive $1 million and a gold bracelet.

The 47th Annual WSOP will also include new tournament formats. There will be 8 new events during this year’s edition:
- Event #4: $1,000 Top Up Turbo No-Limit Hold’em –a live circuit one, but entries will be able to top up their stack by playing online on the WSOP official website.
- Event #12: $565 Pot-Limit Omaha –the lowest buy-in for that particular poker variant
- Event #23: $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em
- Event #40: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball – a tournament that features A-5, 2-7, and Badugi
- Event #45: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha
- Event #53: $1,500 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha-8/Omaha-8/Big O
- Event #54: $888 Crazy Eights Eight-Handed No-Limit Hold’em – a multiple starting flight tournament with a guaranteed $888,888 first-place prize
- Event #61: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em – an event allowing 2-4 person teams
WSOP Main Event with the buy-in of $ 10,000 will not be the last one. Such tournaments as the Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack, Little One for ONE DROP, Seniors Event and the Ladies Championship also returned.
