2016 European Slot Summit in Berlin

The 2016 European Slot Summit was held in the Steigenberger Hotel, Berlin on the 18th – 20th April. Outstanding representatives from the European casino industry met in Berlin to share new cutting edge technologies and gaming developments, the latest gaming floor trends and real-world case studies. About 100 influential figures attended this event to discuss game formats that need to be paid attention to or implement on their game resources.

The impressive numbers of speakers, among whom were Lucien Wijsman, Sonya Nikolova, Sebastian Brenninkmeijer, Paul Steelman, Owen Hury, Michael Brennan, Dallas Orchard and Elena Shaterova, turned the Summit into a ‘must-attend’ Slot event.

During the three days, they intensively discussed such directions:

• marketing innovations and ideas;
• integration systems;
• selection of games;
• game management;
• organization of promotions and prize drawings;
• how to interest players;
• how to attract new players, so that they want to come back again;
• how to keep regular players and increase their activity;
• how to maximize the profitability of the player and minimize costs.

The annual Slot Summit 2016 brought together experts from around the world who have experience in the manufacture of gaming machines and gaming, the development of marketing proposals and management methods.

The Slot Summit has also an additional Technical conference stream to discuss the future technical needs of the gaming industry. Among the organizations present were TransAct Technologies, 3M, CPI, JCM Global and BMM.

As Lucien Wijsman, Head of Content at the Slot Summer, informed that they were trying to clarify the future of the industry, answering such questions as:

• are e-sports just a craze or here to stay?
• how will we support touchscreen technology and live games?
• what will the future gaming floor look like?
• is there power bonusing in-play?

The Slot Summit and Slot Summit Tech, held simultaneously, offered a dynamic event experience aimed at providing better opportunities to learn, innovate, network with the leading representatives of the gaming industry.

Among the entertainments, sponsored by StylGame, were an evening at Spielbank Berlin and dinner with entertainment from the ‘Soul Brothers’, Chris and Geoff Dahl.
